Chen Zutao, born in January 1928, from Wuhan, Hubei.He joined the revolution at the end of 1941 and joined the Communist Party of China in May 1950.From 1951 to 1965, he successively served as representatives of the First Auto Manufacturing Factory in the Soviet Union, director and chief engineer of the Design Division.From 1965 to 1981, he served as chief engineer and deputy factory director of the Second Automobile Manufacturer.From 1981 to 1982, he served as a special agent of the National Machinery Commission.From 1982 to 1989, he served as chief engineer and party group member of China Automobile Industry Corporation, general manager, and party secretary.After 1989, he served as a full -time member of the National Science and Technology Commission.Retreat in December 2003.

Chen Zutao is a member of the Eighth and Ninth National Committee of the CPPCC.
