In September of this year, the pre -review of the Urban (Suburban) Railway Chengdu to Deyang Line Engineering was approved by the State Council. According to the approval documents, the Municipal (suburban) railway Chengdu to Deyang Line project has been included in the National Development and Reform Commission of the National Development and Reform Commission in 2022, which has increased the national project list of major construction land protection. The approval documents are clear that the land for the project should be controlled within 112.61 hectares (1689 acres), of which 93.34 hectares (1400 acres) are agricultural land, 61.40 hectares (921 acres) are cultivated, and 23.32 hectares (350 acres) are contained in permanent basic farmland.
The project invested 28.7 billion yuan, and the plan to build is Jinniu District, Xindu District, Pengzhou City, Jingyang District, and Guanghan City. The maximum running speed of the design of the train is 160 km/h. There are 15 stations, including 10 underground stations and 5 elevated stations.
According to the construction cycle of rail transit, the S11 line is expected to be completed in trial operation by the end of 2026.

In the Deyang section, the S11 line will set up underground stations in four mature cities including Sichuan Courtyard, Wuzhou Plaza, Wenmiao Plaza, and Deyang North Station.
