How to survive the "cold winter"? Can the tourism industry be restored to the state before the epidemic? On the hot topic of the current tourism industry, our reporter interviewed Chen Miaolin, the founder of Kaiyuan Travel Group.

Reporter: What kind of impact did the tourism industry suffer under the epidemic?

Chen Miaolin: The most affected by the epidemic in each section is the aviation industry, followed by travel agencies and hotels, and the private subjects are even more affected.

Fortunately, the hotel has assets and you can go to the bank for mortgage loans. However, travel agencies have no assets and cannot loans. Once a salary is not paid, it will face closure. The same is true of many scenic spots. State -owned ones can still be maintained, and it is difficult for private enterprises to support it.

As far as our hotel industry is concerned, hotels have closed down in 2021, and it will be even more difficult in the second half of this year.

Now there are more than 400 hotels in Kaiyuan, and we only hold more than 20 shares. Most of the other 400 hotels are leased or commissioned management. This year, more than 20 hotel owners have exited. Approve.

Why exit? Because these assets are leased, the decoration is its own capital expenditure, but when the rent is not paid, there is no asset to mortgage the loan. Although the state calls on banks to loan enterprises, banks are also enterprises and must calculate risks. Banks have now regarded hotels as first -level risk companies.

Reporter: What are the strategies for the company's response and how to break through?

Chen Miaolin: In terms of Kaiyuan's experience, it is to reduce liabilities, actively adjust the business method, the development of light assets, and work hard to survive.

The first step is to reduce liabilities. The main risk of an enterprise is high debt.

In recent years, I have repeatedly asked our industry companies to reduce liabilities and assets. I think that all the ammunition stores that sell all those who can sell can be enriched.

Beginning in 2019, we have worked hard to go to assets and reduce liabilities. Three years ago, 54%of the equity of a property company was transferred to Sunac. Last year, the hotel management company delisted from Hong Kong, transferred 20%of the equity to Sequoia Capital, and transferred 34%of the equity of Senbo Paradise to China Travel Group. Real estate inventory has decreased from more than 10 billion yuan to 900 million yuan, which greatly reduces the asset -liability ratio.

The second step is to adjust the operation. People's longing for a better life is leading the changes in the tourism industry. I think that the trend of tourism in the tourism industry is that team consumption is increasing and personal consumption.

Twenty years ago, when Kaiyuan created the Qiandao Lake Resort, the customer was mainly 50 and 60, and now more than 75%of consumers are post -90s and post -00s. After these young people have children, the travel group has become 1 child and 4 or even 6 adults. Now that the country is encouraging the second and third babies, the future parent -child consumption will increase.

Based on such a market judgment, we have transformed many business hotels to develop in the direction of parent -child and urban micro -vacation. Fangcao Rural Hotel and Senpu Paradise Hotel are all branded in recent years. In the case of difficulties last year, Senbo Park has a profit of more than 80 million yuan. This year, it is expected to have a net cash inflow of 200 million to 250 million yuan.

In the future, Kaiyuan will be more inclined to invest in holiday hotels, not business -oriented five -star hotels.

The third is to control investment and the development of light assets. In recent years, investment hotels have certain demands. We have exported brands and appointed managers to help plan to build and operate hotels, and shift from heavy asset operations to output brands and management. In 2020, we opened more than 60 hotels, and 21 were opened in the first half of this year. They all operated in this way.

With the above three moves, in recent years, Kaiyuan not only has no loss, but also has profit. The profit in 2020 reached more than 600 million yuan, and there were more than 700 million yuan last year. This year may be a little less. It is expected to be around 300 million yuan.

Reporter: What kind of relief policy is the most needed by an enterprise?

Chen Miaolin: I think the reduction of land use tax is "real gold and silver"; and also the improvement of social security premiums or slow payment policies. Small and micro enterprises can enjoy the reduction policy, but companies with an annual revenue of over 5 million yuan cannot be enjoyed. I think this is unreasonable, because the social responsibilities undertaken by large and medium -sized enterprises are relatively large, and the difficulties are also greater.

As for the income tax of corporate income, I think the current effect is limited. Many companies have lost money, and there is no "income".

Reporter: Under the normalization of the epidemic, how to promote the development of tourism?

Chen Miaolin: The purpose of controlling the epidemic is to safeguard the interests of the people. Under the general policy of adhering to the "dynamic clearance", we must avoid "one -size -fits -all", otherwise the lives of ordinary people will be affected.

Private enterprise operators like us hope to do something in their lifetime and make our careers bigger, not for money. If we do not do it for money, we will not do it. If you make your career, you can't invest in investment, but there are so many uncertain factors in economy. How can everyone dare to invest? For example, while doing a good job of preventing and controlling the epidemic and promoting economic development, governments at all levels must be responsible.

In July this year, Xiaoshan found that the new crown virus was asymptomatic infected, but Xiaoshan was precise prevention and control.What is affected by what is affected, but the normalized nucleic acid test is changed from 7 days to 3 days, and then returned from 3 days to 7 days.This is to dare to take responsibility and seek truth from facts.In my opinion, the epidemic will always pass.The tourism industry and economic development are deeply bundled. In general, we are not pessimistic. Under the operation of light assets, the risks are not high.If Kaiyuan will go down, 95%of Chinese tourism companies will go down.
