Old Pegasus Bridge promotes cross -strait exchanges and integration

The old Pegasus Bridge was built in 1989. It is a beam -style bridge with two lanes. It connects East Road on the south bank of the Jinjiang River and Xinping Middle Road on the north bank. It was named after the Xichun Tower next to the Xichun Tower. Citizens are kindly referred to as "Pegasus Bridge".

In the early days of liberation, Enping's urban area was not large, and the south bank of the Jinjiang River was referred to as "Henan". The old Pegasus Bridge drives frequent exchanges on both sides of the city. The Enping Stadium, located at the southern end of the bridge, was completed and put into operation in 1994. "Shortly after the completion of the Pegasus Bridge, Enping expanded the Aofeng Bridge, expanded from the original single bridge to the double bridge, and the two lanes became a four -lane, and transportation was more convenient." He said.

Since then, the infrastructure of the old Pegasus Bridge has gradually improved, and the buildings of East Road and the surrounding areas have risen. Now, there are buildings such as Enping Stadium and Cultural Plaza here to become a mature residential community. Rebuilding in 2021. Looking east along the southern end of the bridge, the new landmarks of Feng Ru Square and Jinjiang International New Town have been completed in just two or three decades. Today, the Jinjiang International New Town area has become the leaders of the commercial development of Ensing City. It can be said that the old Pegasus Bridge has a great role in promoting the development of Enping City.

At the northern end of the bridge, there are Pegasus sculptures, Xichun Tower, and Gunta Park. This is the excellent land selection of photography. The college student Wu Haoyu reluctantly reluctantly, and he remembered his first encounter with the bridge. "My family moved from Henan Community to a new home. Before the Xin Feima Bridge opened to traffic, Wu Haoyu put a short video about the old Pegasus Bridge on his own video number, which received everyone's attention and praise.On January 25, 2021, the two -way six -lane new Pegasus Bridge opened to traffic. At the end of the same year, the new Ximen Bridge also opened to traffic. The two important bridges were opened to traffic within one year.Earlier, in June 2020, the Jindian Shuangqiao completed the danger and enhanced and opened to traffic.The development of traffic between the banks of Enping Jinjiang River has entered a new era.

Wu Haozhen told reporters that the design of the Sino -Pegasus Bridge is more in line with the landscape of the Enshe River, injecting richer elements, and becoming a new landmark of Enping's city. It will be the new generation of Enping's urban memory.
