This is the first 300,000 -ton deep -water channel opened by Jiangsu Province. It is also the highest -level artificial deep -water channel formed by my country and the world on the open coastal silt shallow beach. The maritime transportation channel is of great significance.

Lianyungang is located at the intersection of the Jiangsu Coastline and the starting point of the Longhai Railway. It is also the largest seaport in Jiangsu Province. In order to improve the level of modernization services in the port, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the construction of a 300,000 -ton channel of Lianyungang Port in 2009. In accordance with the principle of "one -time projects and installment implementation", Lianyungang Port was completed and put into the first phase of the project and the second phase of the project in 2016 and 2020, respectively. The second phase of the Xuyang Port District Channel passed the work acceptance on August 18 this year. On September 6th, it passed the navigation safety inspection and had the conditions for opening and use.

The 300,000 -ton channel of Lianyungang Port is the "Bull Nose" project developed by the coast of Jiangsu. It is also a lifeline project for the development of Lianyungang Port. For the development of the service free trade pilot zone and the national East China -Western regional cooperation demonstration zone, it promotes the intersection of Jiangsu's "Belt and Road" intersection points. Construction has a vital significance, providing the most convenient and widest maritime channel for the China -Western Unicom world.

The entire channel is 70.5 kilometers in length, and the outer section of the external channel meets the unidirectional navigation requirements of 300,000 tons of bulk cargo ships and oil troops. Meet the unidirectional navigation requirements of 300,000 tons of oil tankers.
