In this regard, it is necessary to continue to monitor and early warning, strengthen science popularization, and improve the cognition of the people in the ward. Taking iodine deficiency as an example, Sun Dianjun, chairman of the National Disease Prevention Expert Advisory Committee, said that China is a "country with general iodine deficiency in the external environment". A survey in 2018 shows that 83.6%of domestic townships are in a state of iodine deficiency.

Iodine deficiency may cause many types of problems such as large neck disease and Katin disease, and mostly occur in western regions such as Xinjiang and Tibet. Sun Dianjun said that in the past ten years, China has invested more than 60 million yuan in these regions for "key population urgently supplement iodine", which has basically "no new Katin disease patients." In order to promote precision iodine, the relevant departments will further narrow the concentration range of iodine salt in the future, so that different people will receive more accurate salt iodine.

Xiong Huang said that China has built a local disease monitoring network covering all the ward and counties across the country. 2562 county -level laboratories across the country can carry out urinary iodine testing, and 1523 counties have thyroid B -ultrasound examination capabilities. In the future, relevant departments will continue to monitor local diseases and form a "work situation of refined management and precision prevention."
