On the 15th, a transferred villagers in Shiqiao Village, Dongqiao Town told Jimu Journalists that around 19:00 on the 14th, the water in the river suddenly rose within an hour and spread to the village road. He rescued in his house, stacking electrical appliances and other items to prevent being soaked by water. As a result, the stagnant water poured into the house, and his family of three was trapped at home, so he had to call the village cadres for help. At about 20 o'clock, a rescue staff came to transfer their family and left the village.

The villager said that the water in his house was 1 meter deep, almost to the height of the waist. After the rain stopped on the morning of the 15th, the water retreated, and he rushed home to check the losses at home.

Jimu Journalists noticed that after the typhoon "Fireworks" landed on July 25, 2021, Dongqiao Town was affected by more than 50,000 people and transferred more than 7,600 people. Mr. Bai, a villager of Shuli Village, told Jimu Journalists that because of his experience last year, he decided to evacuate early this year. On the afternoon of September 14th, he piled up the electrical appliances and other items in the house on the table and chairs, closed the doors and windows in the house, and left the village to go to a higher -level relative's home to avoid risks. On the 15th, he returned home to check and found that the water entered the house, but the damage was not serious.
