The line is a passenger line, with a total investment of 57.234 billion yuan. The target value of the design speed is 350 kilometers per hour, starting from Xiong'an Station of Jingxiong Railway, via Xiong'an New District, Baoding Qingyuan District and Wangdu, Quyang, Fuping County, Wutai Mountain Scenic Area in Shanxi Province, Wutai County, Dingxiang County , Access to Xinzhou West Station, the main line of the line is 342 kilometers, with a total of 12 stations. Among them, Xinzhou City has 4 stations at Wutai Mountain Station, Wutai County Station, Dingxiang North Station, and Xinzhou West Station.

In December 2020, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the research report of the new Xiong'an New District to Xinzhou high -speed railway. The EIA was approved by the Ministry of Ecological Environment on June 17 this year. The soil and water conservation plan was approved by the Ministry of Water Resources on July 29. The preliminary design approval was as soon as possible.

After the completion of the Xiong'an New District to Xinzhou high -speed railway, it will be connected with the proposed Jingxiong business high -speed rail, the existing Jingxiong intercity railway and the existing Atlantic high -speed rail, the Jinbao Railway, etc., to effectively alleviate the Beijing -Kunming Channel Shijiazhuang to Taiyuan, The tension between the individual sections is of positive significance for accelerating the high -standard Beijing -Kunming Channel that accelerates the Beijing -Kunming Channel of the Beijing and Xiong'an New District, Taiyuan, Xi'an, and Chongqing to Kunming.
