On September 12, three hours lasted, the "Shentong" shield machine of the Rail Transit Chongming Line successfully completed the lane mission.

It is understood that in order to achieve the over -long -distance river crossing construction and overcoming the difficulty of buried deep and high water pressure projects, the Shanghai Metro specifically designed and customized the two large hybrid shield machines of "Shentong and Shen Chong". Among them, the Shentong will be excavated from the 108 Namui to Pudong. In the future, it will complete the excavation construction of the Chongming Line Nangang River section. After the total length of the Nangang Division Tunnel of 7.74 kilometers, it will become the "Shanghai Rail Crossing the Yangtze River First Tunnel". Essence

The total length of the "Shentong" shield machine is 148 meters. It is a mud water and gas balance shield machine. It adopts normally pressure blade design. Ultra -wide "bow" type installation design.

The diameter of the shield machine is 13.5 meters and weighs 308 tons. It consists of a center block, 6 main knife arm, and 6 auxiliary knife arm welding and assembling. The knife plate is welded on the site of segmentation, and the welding assembly lasted for 25 days. In the early days, the main structure of the 108 -standard well of the Chongming Line has been completed.
