On September 11, the rescue staff discovered the personal clothes that were suspected of Gan Yu, speculating that it might have a temperature loss.

According to Luo Yong's self -report, after the earthquake, he saw that the water level in front of the power station dam rose significantly in the panic. Because the local fog and rain on September 9, rescue could not be carried out. On the morning of September 10, a number of rescue teams set off and went to the four groups of Gan Dongcun, Decao Town to search Gan Yu. A colleague who participated in the search and rescue confirmed to reporters that in the past two days, he searched the area where Ganyu was located without discovery. "We have been looking for him on the mountain overnight for the past two days, living on the mountain, and the mountain is very cold at night."

On September 11, a rescue person in search and rescue said that when the rescue staff had found Luo Yong and Gan Yu, Luo Yong was built by Gan Yu for the temporary shelter, but there was no trace of Gan Yu there, only footprints, only footprints visible. Subsequently, the search and rescue personnel continued to search and rescue along the footprints and discovered Gan Yu's personal clothes, which inferred that Gan Yu might have a temperature loss.
