Experts from the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have studied our population for many years. They said that the longest life expectancy is only over 300 years old.

I have no advantage in fighting age. Why do people call me a "tree of heroes"?

This is to talk about my growth environment.

My main homeland is around the world's second largest liquid desert -Taklama Ganan Desert. Because of the scarcity of precipitation and large evaporation, it has become one of the most vulnerable areas in my country and even the world.

How did I survive? The reason is that I have a big river that can be rely on -the Tarim River. In fact, 90%of my companions are accompanied by the tower river, building an ecological corridor, and blocking the desert violations of oasis.

Our population has a strong goblin. From July to September each year, our seeds will drift away with the tower rivers in the flood season, wherever they flow.

But not all children like to go out. Some children choose to reproduce from the roots of the mother. They grow up by absorbing their mother's nutrients. They are called roots or cloned seedlings. They look faster. By the way, we are also male and female. A fascinating female tree can reproduce dozens of or more offspring within 100 meters.

I like moist soil, but I am particularly drought and high temperature.

You may not believe it! My roots can be tied to sand layers below 10 meters to absorb water and nutrients. My horizontal root system can reach tens of meters. Therefore, as long as there is groundwater in this range, my roots can be found automatically. Is it very similar to a "smart water -looking"?

This is why I can still stand still under the difficult conditions of drought and water.

Not only that, I can also release the water to the shallow soil through the side roots, so that the camel thorns, white hemp and other forests of forests and herbs can also drink water!

I also absorb a lot of salt when drinking water. Fortunately, I have the ability to discharge excess salt. It is no exaggeration to say that I can excrete dozens of kilograms of saline every year! In fact, this also helped the tower river. After all, she has to irrigate the farmland, but it should not be too salty.

We have also had time to despair. Historically, because the Taga was forced to divert, many of my families died. After I was born, I also experienced the disaster that had been disconnected in the lower reaches of the tower river for nearly 30 years.

In these years, my companions and I worked hard to extend their roots to find water, and even gave up some branches to protect their lives. But some partners still failed to go.

Fortunately, since 2000, the Tahe River Basin has been comprehensive management, and ecological water has made us re -rebirth.

Today, my family is leafy and has continued to expand its territory.

In recent years, scientists have discovered another characteristic of us. That is to add too much water to suppress our growth, especially our young plants. Therefore, they are passing the test to find the best way to replenish us.
