Shao Xinyu, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, has been the "Provincial Leader" in Hubei

According to the Hubei Provincial Government Network, on September 9, the Hubei Provincial Education Commendation Conference was held in Han. Provincial leaders Guo Yuanqiang, Wang Qiyang, Chen Xinwu, Shao Xinyu, Wang Li, etc. attended the meeting. This is the first time Shao Xinyu appeared as a leader in Hubei Province. He ranked among the three Hubei Provincial Standing Committee members Guo Yuanqiang, Wang Qiyang, Chen Xinwu, and Wang Li, deputy governor of Hubei Province.

This news means that after a year, Shao Xinyu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and deputy minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, returned to Hubei as the provincial leader. In August 2021, Shao Xinyu raised his appointment from the Party Secretary of the University of Science and Technology of China.

Official resumes show that Shao Xinyu, member of the Communist Party of China. Graduate degree, doctor of engineering, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and professor. From September 1986 to June 1990, he learned from Huazhong University of Technology (renamed Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1988) and learned from a bachelor's degree in mechanical manufacturing technology and equipment. From September 1990 to October 1998, he studied in the mechanical manufacturing automation major of the University of Science and Technology of China. He received a doctorate degree (between January 1995 to August 1998, a doctorate training at the University of Michigan in the United States).

Shao Xinyu worked at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (renamed Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2000) for a long time. Since 1998, he has been the director of the Institute of Manufacturing Automation, the School of Manufacturing Automation of the School of Mechanicals, Deputy Dean, and Dean of the School of Mechanical. In July 2008, he served as Vice President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, in July 2013 as executive vice president (main bureau level), and in December 2017 as the secretary of the party committee (deputy ministerial level). In November 2019, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Among the current five deputy ministers of the Ministry of Science and Technology, there are 3 academicians. In addition to Academician Shao Xinyu, the other two are Zhang Guangjun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, who took office in October 2020 and Zhang Guangjun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in November 2021.
