In February 2021, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security issued 13 new national vocational skills standards including "e -sportsmen", which clearly stipulated the professional definition, work content, and skills requirements of "e -sports players".

According to the regulations, e -sports players are divided into five levels of five levels/junior workers, fourth -level/intermediate workers, third -level/senior workers, secondary/technicians and senior technicians.
