By 2019, the civilization index has developed into an important indicator of the national cultural center construction evaluation index system. Looking at the results of the 17 -year continuous evaluation, the civilization index of the Beijing citizen's public behavior from 65.21 in 2005 to 90.06 in 2021 has achieved a leap -up promotion, maintaining the "sixteen consecutive promotion" trend, and reflecting the civilization consciousness of the capital citizens. Continuous enhancement and civilized literacy are continuously improved.

After the promulgation of the "Beijing Civilization Behavior Promotion Regulations", the research team expanded and innovated the evaluation system of the civilization index of public behavior in accordance with the specific requirements of the regulations on civilized behavior. , Public viewing and public participation five aspects expanded to public health, public order order, traffic safety order, community harmony, civilized tourism, civilized ornamental, online civilization, medical order, green environmental protection nine public civilization fields. The original 35 expanded to 61, which more comprehensively reflected the content specifications specified in the "Regulations".

The evaluation results in 2021 showed that medical order, civilized tourism, and civilized ornamental ranking ranked among the top, respectively, 96.36, 93.88, and 92.06, respectively. The traffic safety order and public hygiene have been significantly improved. The rituals of driving and the classification of garbage have been significantly improved. Among them, the civilization index of driving reached 93.99, creating a record high; the garbage classification work has achieved significant results, and the good living habits of citizens have gradually developed. At the same time, the results of the evaluation show that the two civilization indexes of the community environment and public places are below 90, becoming the shortcomings of public civilization. It shows that the level of grassroots governance needs to be further improved, and the awareness of public civilization of citizens needs to be further strengthened.
