Land Street Store shocked the Republic of China industry couplet

During the cleanup process, the signatures of some private and public stores in the old streets were discovered one after another, which outlines some trajectories of the historical changes in the old street. Not long ago, the author found a few rows of mottled red traditional regular script on the door of a shop in Land Street. Although the handwriting was faint and incomplete, it was basically recognized. On the inner side of the door columns on both sides, the shop was couplet in the early years. In addition to the last word of the upper part, the remaining six characters can be read. It can be presumed that it should be a common couplet in the textile industry: "Economic Economics has the same brocade, and the clothing is always deserved." It is rare to survive. The handwriting outside the left door is a line of notice, which is also incomplete. It can be recognized in order: "This is self -made □ on the top ..." Unfortunately, the language is unknown, and it is difficult to understand the original meaning. Perhaps it is advertising for your own products! As for why "Ben", there is no trace of the scene. These remnants of the handwriting allow us to see the traditional business model of traditional business during the Republic of China and feel the business atmosphere at the time.

What is the business number of this store in the industry couplet? I consulted Mr. Cai Yaokun, a retired teacher of Shi Guang Middle School on this issue. According to Mr. Cai, the location of this shop was a cloth shop, the shop name "Fuchang", the owner Xu Zhizhi, and a native of Laojiang Tongzi Village. According to this clue, the author consulted in May 1938 to July "The Party Department of Fujian Province was sent to the Silk Club Industry Association of Shishi Town, Jinjiang County to present a letter with the Central Social Ministry of Social Social Affairs". In the year (1937), Xu Zhishu participated in the preparation of the "Silk Club Industry Association of Shishi Town, Jinjiang County" as the manager of the "Fuchang" Silk Branch. He also served as the first executive member of the Association of the same industry. According to this inference, the "Fuchang" silk cloth should be advanced in the industry at that time, and its opening time was before 1937. The shop did not stop the business until 1949.
