The currently commonly used numerical forecast model is the values ​​of the values ​​driven by the law of physical laws, and the field forecast is achieved by iterative calculation to solve the physical equation. The main forecasting tool of the intelligent forecast system is a deep neural network forecast model. This is a intelligent forecast model driven by big data. Using deep machine learning methods to learn the time and space evolution of waves from a large number of historical storm data, so as to achieve wave prediction forecasting Essence

The intelligent forecast system integrates multiple deep neural network forecast models based on convolutional length and short memory mechanism and attention mechanism. Combined with a large number of historical wave field data, it can complete the northwestern Pacific and Indian sea wave forecast in the next 5 days in 3 seconds. Covering the Northwest Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean, the spatial resolution of the forecast product reaches 10km and the time resolution is 1 hour; the forecast elements include the main wave forecasting elements of effective waves, the 24 -hour forecast error is 0.4 meters.

Since the launch of the trial operation in February 2021, it has been stable for more than a year to help the forecast center's wave forecast business has achieved a number of progress. Due to the different working principles, the intelligent forecast system has a prominent advantage of lightweight and fast volume than the traditional numerical forecast model. The forecast calculation time only takes 1-3 seconds. The value forecast is equivalent. In addition, the system can be deployed on the lightweight workstation, which greatly reduces the cost and power consumption of computing equipment, and can be used as a valid backup or alternative system for the traditional numerical forecast system under emergencies or special conditions.
