On September 5, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Sichuan. The earthquake rescue force of Ya'an Fire Rescue Detachment immediately assembled and rushed to the earthquake area to carry out rescue work.

After entering Xinmin Township, Irson County, fire rescue workers found that due to the influence of the earthquake, Xinmin Township's road to Wanggang Ping Township was interrupted, rescue forces and supplies could not be transported, and the wounded could not be transferred. Rescuers decided to use the boatboat to carry out water rescue work, and then mobilized the 27 boats in the jurisdiction. The first time they rushed to Xingmin Township of Ashaza to gather rescue.

At 21:00 that night, after the transfer of the boat boat arrived, the evacuation personnel and supplies began overnight. After a short break at 18 pm on the 6th, the rescue staff continued to invest in the transfer and rescue mission. After 36 consecutive hours of struggle, as of 12:00 on the 7th, the rescuers traveled more than 200 trips to and from the tranquil. Transfer tents, vegetables, oil, convenience foods and other rescue materials for more than 10 tons.
