Wang Lan Sheng originally lived in Yichun City. Before retiring, he was a passenger vehicle driver. He usually liked to exercise bicycles. In 2007, in order to celebrate the Beijing Olympic Games, he had the idea of ​​riding a bicycle to Beijing. When he told his relatives and friends, everyone thought it was a joke. But Wang Lan was serious. With the support of the local sports department, he opened the first journey of riding a bicycle. After half a month, Wang Lan Sheng arrived in Beijing. He boarded the Great Wall and visited Tsinghua University. He also went to Shandong Province to turn, and the mileage of ride reached more than 5,000 kilometers.

For the first time, Wang Lan Sheng has gained a lot of experience, such as how to resist fatigue, resistance, and avoid vehicles on the road, etc., and also learned the skills of fast replenishment tires. At the same time, he also encountered a lot of good people, some people gave him food, some provided telephone cards, and he kept in touch with some people. In 2010, Wang Lan Sheng rode a bicycle to Sanya. After returning, he set a new goal of riding to Tibet. "If you don't go once in Tibet, you are not a good riding." Wang Lanyansheng said.

In 2015, Wang Lan was on the journey to Tibet for the first time to ride a bicycle to Tibet. During the nearly 5,000 kilometers of itinerary, he Xiaoxiao stayed at night and overcome many difficulties such as the hypoxia of the plateau. Finally, he arrived in Lhasa 56 days to realize the dream of being a "good rider". Every time he arrived, he went to the "Post Office" to build a postmark, and all the way, a large notebook covered the postmark, and he regarded it as the most precious gift.

Speaking of the second cycling to Tibet, Wang Lanyansheng said that this is by no means stubborn. Although he is over seventy years old, he feels that he has always been good at his physical fitness and has more experience in cycling. He wants to challenge himself again and write a wonderful stroke for his "riding life".

The cycling entered Tibet has received strong support from units and departments in the Acheng District Cultural Tourism Bureau, Qiulin Ridos and other units and departments. With the sponsorship of all parties, Wang Lanyansheng purchased a brand new "mount", and also prepared emergency drugs, air cylinders, car repair tools, and cotton in the cold. On the day of departure, many enthusiastic riders came to see him off.
