The total production capacity of the Asia -Pacific region will increase from 2023 to 420,000 tons to meet the growing needs of industries such as automobiles and electronic products.

It is understood that the first device uses 100%renewable energy power. BASF's goal: By 2025, 100%renewable energy power will be provided to the entire BASF (Guangdong) integrated base.

After completion, the project will become the third largest production base in BASF in the world.

In July 2022, the BASF European company made a final investment decision, announcing the comprehensive promotion of the construction of the BASF (Guangdong) integrated base. At this stage, it will focus on the core of the integrated construction base, including a set of steam cracking devices and multiple downstream devices. It is planned to start at the end of 2025 to further support the continuous business growth of Basph in China. The subsequent phase of the project will expand more downstream devices to achieve the production of diversified products. It is planned to be put into operation from 2028.
