On September 6, the Standing Committee of the 15th National People's Congress of Shaoguan City held the sixth meeting. Ling Zhenwei, deputy secretary of the party group and agent of the Standing Committee of the Shaoguan People's Congress, chaired the meeting.

The meeting decided to accept Chen Shaorong's resignation of the mayor of the People's Government of Shaoguan City; decided to appoint Chen Zhiqing as the deputy mayor of the Shaoguan People's Government, and decided that Chen Zhiqing was the acting mayor of Shaoguan Municipal People's Government.

The meeting appointed Zheng Haitao as the deputy mayor of the Shanwei Municipal People's Government and decided his acting mayor. The meeting decided to accept the post of Mayor of Shanwei City's People's Government.
