The ancients introduced Bai Lu's qi like this: "Bai Lu, August. Autumn is gold, golden white, the yin is heavier, and the dew and white."

We all know that dew is a water droplet that is condensed on the ground or near -ground objects due to decreased temperature. The crystal clear dew is not white. Why is this solar term called white dew?

This is because in traditional Chinese culture, the five colors correspond to the five elements, as is the four seasons. Spring belongs to wood, summer is fire, autumn is gold, winter is water, and everything is born into five elements. Autumn gold gold, corresponding to the white in the five colors, so Bai Lu refers to Qiulu. Do not need to be a straightforward "autumn dew" or a slightly tacky "golden dew" named this solar terms. The word "white" is an implicit and elegant ancient Chinese expression.

Bai Lu arrived, the autumn rain was getting cold, and the cold was approaching. From a meteorological perspective, this is also the season with the largest temperature difference in Xinjiang in the year. At this time, the temperature was cold and hot, so the phenomenon of messy clothes appeared.

This is also the proverb of "Eighteen pots in the summer, Bai Lu, don't show up" to people: the weather in the summer is still hot, showering is essential. In the time of Bai Lu's season, the cold air turns into an attack. There is a certain range of cooling, so people should pay more attention to keep warm.
