On September 5, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Sichuan. Affected by the earthquake, the ruins of the Western Conference near the epicenter were severely damaged. Local residents said that they saw obvious cracks in the Catholic Church of the Western Catholic Church, and a large amount of masonry was scattered. The person in charge of the church said that in order to ensure security, the government departments set up a cordon.

Ms. Shi, a resident of Moxi Town, told Jimu Journalists that her family lived near the Sanxi Conference site. When she passed the site on the 5th earthquake, she saw the roof tiles dropped and the house also cracks.

Mr. Zhao, a merchant near the site, told reporters that on the morning of the 6th, when he returned to the store to get things, he saw that the site of the Musi Conference on the opposite side was seriously damaged. A large number of masonry and roof tiles fell to the ground, and the pillars and fences of the Catholic Church also appeared obvious cracks. But he couldn't view the internal damage. He didn't know how to deal with it in the future.
