Colorectal cancer is the third highest cancer in the United States. Researchers at Tofz University and Harvard University found that the high consumption volume of super -processed foods is related to increased risk of colorectal cancer.
Studies have shown that compared with men with less consumption of super -processing foods, the risk of men who eat a large amount of super -processed foods are 29%higher than colorectal cancer, but no above related associations are found in women.

As a result, the researchers analyzed the diet intake of more than 200,000 participants (15,9907 women and 46,341 men) in the three large -scale forward -looking studies for 25 years. These studies require participants to provide a questionnaire involving about 130 food intake frequency every 4 years.
In new studies, the amount of super -processing food intake of participants is divided into 5 categories from high to low. People with the most intake have the highest risk of colorectal cancer. The above -mentioned connection appeared in men, and the study did not find that the risk of colorectal cancer in the general intake of large -processing foods increased.
The research team found that among men, super -processed foods with the strongest correlation with colorectal cancer are meat, poultry or fish products.

Studies have also found that sugary drinks, such as soda, fruit beverages and sugar -containing milk, are related to increased risk of colorectal cancer.
But not all super -processing foods increase the risk of colorectal cancer. "We found that there is a reverse connection between the risk of super -machining dairy products such as yogurt and colorectal cancer."
