On September 5th, the cover reporter learned from the China Meteorological Administration that a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan, and the meteorological department attached great importance to it and launched a seismic rescue weather service for the first time. At 13:30 on the 5th, the Sichuan Provincial Meteorological Bureau launched a three -level emergency response to the seismic disaster meteorological service.

Meteorological monitoring shows that around 13:00 on the 5th, the temperature of Luding County was 19.5 ° C, and the wind was not large. In the past 24 hours, Luding County has descended from light rain, and the local rain (14 to 19 mm). At 13:45 on the 5th, the static weather satellite real color cloud map shows that there is no obvious development of the Liuyun system at the current Luding County and the surrounding area. Static meteorological satellite Genting height products and cloud phase products show that Luding County's earthquake areas and around the surrounding areas are mainly cold water clouds and mixed clouds. Genting height is 8 to 10 kilometers. In the future, it will continue to pay close attention to the development of cloud systems in Luding County and the surrounding areas, as well as diversified precipitation.
