Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, September 5 (Reporter Liu Xin and Jia Qilong) On September 5, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province. After the disaster, the rescue forces such as the Armed Police Force and the militia were urgently aid the disaster area.
The Armed Police Sichuan Army quickly sent the forward command team to conduct front -line troops. Thirty officers and soldiers of the Armed Police Ganzi detachment brought iron and medicine to the hometown of Luding County, Earthquake, and carried out the work survey, road cleanup and transfer of the masses. The Second Division of the Sichuan Corps of the Armed Police sent 95 officers and soldiers, and 15 excavators, loaders and other rescue vehicles, and carried professional equipment such as life detectors and breaking tools to rush to the earthquake. The Armed Police Sichuan Corps Hospital dispatched emergency medical teams and ambulances, surgical cabin cars, epidemic prevention and cars and other medical equipment, and brought medical materials to Luding County to carry out emergency rescue and post -treatment treatment. As of 16:00, more than 1,000 armed police officers and soldiers had dispatched urgently and invested in the front line of rescue and rescue.
After the earthquake, hundreds of militias in Ganzi Prefecture emerged in the disaster area.
