Xue Fan, born in 1934, was born in Cixi, Ningbo. He was a honorary member of the Shanghai Federation of Literature and Cultural Federation.

Xue Fan is engaged in the translation, introduction and research of foreign songs all year round. The translation publishes nearly 2,000 songs such as "night outside Moscow" and other countries around the world. There are more than 30 types of foreign songs compiled and published. He has won the Russian Federation 6 times, including: the National "Friendship Medal" (1997) and the "Russian -China Friendship Medal" (1999, and the "Sino -Russian Friendship Medal" was also awarded by the Chinese government in 1999). The Gold Medal of "Ni Ostrovsky" (2007) and "Medal for the Development of Russian -China Relations" (2009). In 2005, he was awarded the honorary title of senior translator awarded by the China Translation Association. In 2022, he was awarded the "Translation Culture Lifetime Achievement Award" by the China Translation Association in 2022.

Xue Fan did not have many intersections with his hometown. Some information showed that in the 1970s, he returned to his hometown in Cixi to live, and then returned to Shanghai to work and live.

Xue Fan and another Ningbo Literature Translators have a deep friendship of more than half a century. In October 2019, on the 4th anniversary of the death of Cao Ying, Xue Fan Man wrote affectionately to commemorate the article "Late Grade -Missing Mr. Cao Ying" and deeply remember the predecessor of the translator's fellow.

In Xue Fan's memory, the first time I saw Cao Ying or in the 1950s, in the literary lecture held in the Shanghai Library, Cao Ying, who was a guest guest, shared Tolstoy's novel "Resurrection" Essence At that time, Xue Fan's high school only graduated from the stage, because he was "timid" and did not dare to go forward to talk to Mr. Cao Ying.

In the process of self -study translation, Xue Fan encountered some difficult problems and had some different views. So, I wrote a letter to the Publishing House where Cao Ying was located. The letter had both academic advice and talked about some personal living conditions. What surprised Xue Fan was that before a few days, Cao Ying actually came to see him. You must know that Cao Ying is 11 years older than Xue Fan, and he is already a well -known translator, and Xue Fan was in his early twenties. On that day, the two forgotten the year -on -year friends who loved the translation and chatted for more than 2 hours. Specifically, Xue Fan couldn't remember, but the thick Ningbo accent left him with a deep impression. On that day, Xue Fan knew that the two were Ningbo fellow.

At the age of 2, Xue Fan suffered from paralysis of pediatrics, and since then with crutches and wheelchairs, there are many difficulties in life. In 1986, the Shanghai Translator Association was established, and Cao Ying was the first president, and Xue Fan also joined the association. After that, Cao Ying personally came forward to solve the problem of life for Xue Fan, so that he had no worries. Whenever I think of this, Xue Fan always feels that he owes a gratitude to Mr. Cao Ying.
