Ambassador to the Solomon Islands: Chinese experience provides learning resources

In the past three years, China has become the largest infrastructure partner and trustworthy development partner of the Solomon Islands.

In July of this year, the China -Pacific Island State Poverty Alleviation and Development Cooperation Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Cooperation Center"), which was officially opened in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, was an important measure for China to help the development of the Pacific Island country. The current Pacific Island country is facing challenges such as climate change, increased poverty, and rising unemployment. Not only that, the impact of epidemic on society and economy has also exacerbated challenges, and the situation has become more difficult. The world has seen that in the past few decades, 770 million rural poor people have got rid of poverty. Now it has completed the arduous task of eliminating absolute poverty, which is an unprecedented achievement.

The development of Ningde and other places in Fujian is a successful story of China's winning poverty alleviation. The Pacific Island Country is also the same as Fujian. It is lush and rich in species, and watching the blue sea. Not only is geographical conditions similar, but also humanistic blindness and complementary development advantages. Looking forward to through the cooperation center, China has more pragmatic results in sharing poverty reduction experience and information. I sincerely hope to learn from the concepts and experiences of poverty alleviation in China to promote the economic development of the Pacific Island country and promote the well -being of the people. China's successful experience provides us with endless learning resources.

The development of many areas of the Pacific Island country is inseparable from cooperation with China. The 51st Pacific Island Forum Leaders' Meeting held in July reviewed and approved the "Blue Pacific Mainland 2050 Development Strategy", which is a long -term vision to promote the sustainable development of the region. In the various challenges facing the Pacific Island country, climate change is the most severe. Cooperation with China can help the Pacific Island country to cope with real challenges and achieve development goals. In April of this year, the China -Pacific Island Country's response to climate change cooperation was officially opened in Liaocheng, Shandong Province.

I believe that the comprehensive strategic partnership between the Pacific Island and China will be stable and more fruitful.
