On the evening of September 4, the news office of the Chengdu Municipal People's Government held a press conference on the prevention and control of the epidemic. Yang Xiaoguang, deputy secretary -general of the Chengdu Municipal Government and director of the Chengdu Health and Health Commission, introduced that at 0-24 on September 3, Chengdu will add new localities to the local area.There were 72 cases (2 of them were closed -loop management outside the province), and 52 cases of asymptomatic infected were added (4 of which were closed -loop management of foreign returns from the province).

Since August 12, Chengdu has reported a total of 1,332 local cases, of which 952 were confirmed and 380 were asymptomatic.

Since August 26, the number of new infections in Chengdu has begun to rise. In the past three days, the number of new cases in the daily increase has remained between 120-160 people, which has decreased from the previous period. At present, the epidemic has entered a platform period.
