The Eighth Bridge of Mengzhong Friendship, located about 5 kilometers east of Pirojpur in Barisar, Barry, southern Bangladesh, spans the local first -level channel -Kuchahe. Subsequently, as a project management unit, the China Railway Bridge Institute presided over professional investigations, engineering surveys, plan design, deepening design, and cooperated with the Ministry of Commerce to conduct general contracting bidding for engineering, comprehensively responsible for construction supervision and entire process project management.

Knowing that China was going to build a bridge, officials from the RHD of the Highway Bureau of the Bangladesh Owners immediately found the design team of the China Railway Bridge Institute and proposed to build the bridge into "the arc as the suspension of crescents as beautiful as crescent." It is not difficult to build a modern cable bridge, but it is difficult to match the local bridge management and maintenance level, and the later high -amount maintenance costs need to be fully guaranteed; in addition, according to the preliminary engineering geological survey data, the location is not suitable for this location is not suitable Construction of suspension bridges, otherwise it will generate huge costs.

In view of this, the bridge design team divergent ideas, retain the arc favored by Meng Fang, and make a seven -span continuous rigidity plan. Looking at the distance, the arc water blends, the waves are seeing the shadow, and the rhythm is shown. This plan not only solves the maintenance problem, but is also closely integrated with the local landscape. At the same time, in order to reflect the friendship and different cultural characteristics of China and Meng, the designer also added the Meng State cultural element pattern to the pier and landscape guardrails, and the "Chinese knot" shape was adopted on the bridgehead.
