Zhenguo Temple is located in Haodong Village 15 kilometers northeast of Pingyao County, Shanxi Province. In 1988, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit. In 1997, it was listed as a world cultural heritage as an important part of the ancient city of Pingyao.

Zhenguo Temple, formerly known as Jingcheng Temple, was renamed Zhenguo Temple during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty and was extended to this day. Two courtyards before and after the temple, the front yard is built on the temple of the heavenly king hall and the second floor of the left and right bells and drums. Three Buddha Hall.

The main hall was built in the seventh year of the Northern Han Dynasty, and the re -rebuilt in the 21st year of the Qing Dynasty was rebuilt. Many inscribed ink and existing monuments in the temple were left on the beams of the Buddhist temple, providing reliable historical evidence.

The building of the Town Temple is the earliest, and it is one of the oldest wooden buildings in mainland China. Town Temple is different from other wooden buildings. There is no nail in the whole temple. All structures are made of wood and wood. It is a big treasure in ancient Chinese architecture.

The backyard of the Guo Temple of the Town is the Guanyin Temple in the east, the west is the Tibetan Hall, and the middle of the three Buddha halls. In addition to the Guanyin Hall, the statues of each temple exist. In the three Buddha halls, there are also Ming Dynasty murals.
