Bohu County, known as the "Hometown of Pepper", was selected into the "Top Ten Famous Pepper Products in the country" in May 2020. It is located in the eastern part of Xinjiang Tianshan Nanxuan Basin. The soil conditions, sufficient light, rich light, long calories, long frost -free period, day and night temperature difference are large, which is very suitable for planting peppers. The quality of producing peppers is very good. Some can be used to refine pigments and make lipsticks, which are popular in the market.

Since the 1980s, Bohu County has been planting peppers. The planting area has increased from 20,000 acres to more than 80,000 acres, and the variety has also increased to more than 10 species. Radiation has driven farmers in 7 townships in the county to increase their income and get rich, and half of the farmers' income comes from pepper.
