In the Liuli Temple Fighting Memorial Hall, the 48 anti -Japanese martyrs who were sacrificed in the battle in Liuli Temple in 1939 were buried in 1939.

Today, in addition to being a martyr's cemetery, Zhang Yueping's "home". Over the years, Zhang Yueping and his wife Jiang Qin have eaten and lived here, guarding the British soul of 48 martyrs together.

On March 5, 1939, the party committee of the Luxi District of the Communist Party of China moved from Guanxian and Pavilion to Taifeng District of Taixi. It was encountered with the Japanese army when it passed the Liuli Temple. The battle lasted for one day and one night. Yiping was unfortunately captured.

"The Japanese tied him to a jujube tree in Xu Lou Village, pumped it with a leather whip, and stabbed with a bayonet. During the battle, 48 officers and soldiers donated their lives to the country, the remains were buried on the spot, and then moved to the martyr's cemetery.

At that time, Zhang Yueping's father, Zhang Hongzhu, was only 7 years old and witnessed the fierce battle scene. The tenacious will and unyielding spirit of our army deeply shocked Zhang Hongzhu's young hearts. In 1947, Zhang Hongzhu reported to the country to participate in the army, and successively participated in the war of liberation and the war against the United States.

In 1953, Zhang Hongzhu was resettled at Jinan diesel engine factory after work. When he went home to visit his relatives, Zhang Hongzhu passed the cemetery and saw that no one cares about it. He is everywhere there are barren Caoye and ditch. He thinks of those comrades -in -arms who sacrificed on the Korean battlefield. He was very sad.

Zhang Yueping said that at that moment, his father made a decision that influenced his life: he resigned and returned to his hometown to keep the tomb for the martyrs.

After becoming a family, Zhang Hongzhu took the child to guard the tomb again. At that time, only seven or eight years old Zhang Yueping lived in a small house in the cemetery. On weekdays, in addition to sweeping the grave to the martyrs, Zhang Hongzhu and Zhang Yueping also cleared weed garbage and plant trees.

After Zhang Hongzhu's death, Zhang Yueping inherited his father's wishes and became the second voluntary obligation to defend the mausoleum. After taking over his father's unfinished career, Zhang Yueping was deeply responsible. In order to keep the tomb, he took his wife Jiang Qin and settled the "home" here. He ate and lived in the cemetery 365 days a year, and never left during the Spring Festival.

In order to ensure the safety of the cemetery, Zhang Yueping was checked around the entire cemetery before resting every night, and his heart was stubborn. Without the sun every day, he and his wife began to clean up to 12.3 acres (one acre about 666.7 square meters).

Whenever traditional festivals such as the Qingming Festival and the Spring Festival, Zhang Yueping always cleans the cemetery thoroughly in advance, and sacrifice the martyrs. Every year on New Year's Eve, Zhang Yueping asked his family to send hot dumplings, and he was full of a few large bowls in front of the bronze statues of the martyrs.
