Ministry of Ecology and Environment: The national environmental air quality continues to improve in the first five months of this year

The Ministry of Ecology and Environment notified this year from January to May this year from January to May this year, and the proportion of excellent days across the country continued to rise.

From January to May of this year, the average number of excellent air quality in the country level and above in the country was 85.1%, an increase of 0.5 percentage points year -on -year; the average PM2.5 concentration was 35 micrograms per cubic meter, a year -on -year decrease of 5.4%.

The average percentage of excellent days in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and surrounding areas was 66.8%, an increase of 3.5 percentage points year -on -year; PM2.5 concentration was 51 micrograms per cubic meter, a year -on -year decrease of 3.8%.From January to May, the proportion of excellent days was 81.5%, a year -on -year increase of 13.3 percentage points; PM2.5 concentration was 33 micrograms/cubic meter, a year -on -year decrease of 28.3%.
