According to reports, the area where the fire occurred was the ethylene glycol device located on Long'an East Road, Jinshan District, Shanghai. After receiving the police, the Shanghai 119 Command Center quickly transferred the fire rescue force of Shanghai Jinshan District Fire rescue detachment, Shanghai Fengxian District Fire Rescue Division, and Shanghai Chemical Industrial Zone Fire Rescue Detachment and other fire rescue forces rushed to the scene for rescue. After preliminary verification, the accident caused a slight abrasion of a employee in Shanghai Petrochemical, and a third -party transport vehicle driver died.

After the accident, the relevant departments immediately launched the emergency plan and dispatched 563 fire rescue workers and 113 fire trucks to the scene to dispose.

It is understood that in response to the fire in the chemical department of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai Jinshan District, Shanghai Jinshan District, at 4.28 that day, the emergency management department has sent the expert working group led by the comrades of the Rescue Bureau to rush to the site to assist in the treatment. After the fire, Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical launched an environmental emergency plan simultaneously, and continued to monitor environmental monitoring of the company's factory and external regions.
