Guangzhou polls show: Half of citizens are satisfied with local public services

On August 25, the Guangzhou Socialistic Intelligence and Public Opinion Research Center issued a poll report that the local public services were satisfied with half of the citizens. The report analyzes the changes in citizens in recent years based on the relevant polls carried out by the Guangzhou Socialistic Intelligence and Public Opinion Research Center in recent years, focusing on public transportation, medical care, education, pension, and news communication, and compare the evaluation characteristics of different people.

The gap between medical education satisfaction is large

According to the polls, the citizens of Guangzhou have given a positive evaluation of the local public service status. The satisfaction of various services in 2021 basically exceeds 50 %, that is, more than half of the citizens interviewed have expressed their satisfaction to varying degrees.

Specifically, public transportation services have the highest evaluation, with a satisfaction of 80%of the satisfaction, reaching 83%, and the satisfaction of various service matters for five consecutive years. Followed by news communication, satisfaction is 75%.

Three public services that are closely related to citizens' lives and the most concerned public services, such as medical care, education and pension, have been significantly different in recent years. Among them, the accumulated satisfaction of medical services has increased by 22 percentage points in five years, from 42%in 2017 to 64%in 2021, and the dissatisfaction dropped from 22%to 12%. Education service evaluation has not improved in the past five years, and the satisfaction has just exceeded 50%, 54%, which is less than 10 percentage points lower than medical services. Five years ago, educational service evaluation satisfaction was 8 percentage points higher than medical services. The satisfaction of the elderly service has increased by 7 percentage points in the past five years, from just over 40%to nearly 50%, which is 48%.

Specifically, in terms of education services, 44%of the citizens believe that education costs are "expensive" or "more expensive", and 49%of parents of primary and secondary schools say that education costs make the family "burden" or "greater"; to parents' opinion It is basically not a problem that children can "read books", but there are still few schools with good teaching quality, low charges, and close to home. It is difficult to meet the needs and expectations of children at the door of the house.

In terms of pension services, in recent years, Guangzhou has vigorously promoted the construction of a one -stop community comprehensive pension service center, which meets the needs of citizens' pension at their doorstep, and has obtained 96%of the people interviewed citizens. However, unlike medical and educational services, the pension service starts relatively late and the foundation is weak. In the context of aging, citizens have not evaluated the relevant work, and the current status of the elderly service is still different from the citizens' expectations.

Residents of surrounding peripheral urban areas improved

From the perspective of different urban areas in Guangzhou, the evaluation of medical services in various urban areas has improved significantly. Baiyun, Huangpu, Panyu and other surrounding urban areas are more prominent. Satisfaction has increased by 26 percentage points in five years, and other urban areas have risen by about 20 percentage points.

For the evaluation of elderly care and education services, the evaluation of residents of surrounding urban areas such as Baiyun, Huangpu, and Panyu has improved to varying degrees. Five years ago, the relevant evaluation satisfaction of these surrounding urban areas was relatively lower than that of other urban areas. By 2021, satisfaction was not much different from other urban areas.

The evaluation of public transportation services such as Nansha, Zengcheng, Huadu, Conghua and other peripheral urban areas has improved significantly, and the satisfaction has increased significantly by 21 percentage points to 80%, which is basically the same as the surrounding urban areas. Five years ago, the relevant evaluation satisfaction of the peripheral urban area was obviously lagging behind 12 percentage points in the surrounding urban areas.

From the perspective of different ages, the elderly who are 61 years old and over the age of 61 and above have the best evaluation of public transport services, and the satisfaction is 93%, but the elderly are coming to the medical service. In recent years, local hospitals have added self -service facilities to gradually replace artificial service windows. According to polls, up to 51%of the respondents said that "reservation and registration before seeing a doctor" has increased some elderly people to see a doctor.
