Chinese senior wooden master
Person in charge of the popularity of Nanmu Cultural Social Sciences in China
At the age of seventeen to thirty -seven, Huang Wen only did one thing for twenty years- "woodcarving"; from the apprenticeship of woodworking to the senior Chinese wooden division, time passed and did not change the original choice. Today, Huang Wen reveals a calm and calm, which is the feedback of the wood carving art.
Entering Beijing's boring woodworking apprenticeship career
When he saw Huang Wen for the first time, he was sitting in front of a piece of Nanmu to be carved together. The knife was in his hands, and the sculpture techniques such as saving and stacking changed freely, sometimes hollowed out, and occasionally left white. The surface of Jin Si Nanmu was shiny and golden, and the golden silk appeared, and a faintly elegant fragrance was revealed. After a long time, he suddenly found that someone around him came.
Before seeing Huang Wen, I thought that the carving masters had a certain age, and I did not expect that the master in front of me was so young.
Huang Wen's speech slowly, as if he was not in a hurry. When the guests arrived, Huang Wen greeted the guests to seat, and his wife burned water to make tea, sitting, and drinking a cup of tea, and Huang Wen talked about heaven.
In the 1980s, the seventeen -year -old Huang Wen left his hometown of Neijiang, Sichuan, to Beijing. He was very confused at the time, and he didn't know what he could do in this strange big city. Until a chance, he entered a furniture factory, became a carpen worker, and began his life of woodworking apprentices. At the beginning, he helped the master to do some miscellaneous work every day, and then began to learn from the most basic link. He kept keeping the master and learning his carving skills.
At that time, he got up at five or six in the morning and worked until the evening. Such a life lasted for more than half a year. Half a year later, the master allowed Huang Wen to engrave some small objects.
Huang Wen starts with the smallest jewelry box, the simplest clouds carved on the jewelry box, and this kind of carvings can best hone the patience of people.
The more carved from the woodcarving hall, the more carved
At that time, there were about a dozen people who were apprentices in the furniture factory with Huang Wen at that time, but then with the time of time, many people were extremely susceptible to injury because of the danger of carving with a knife. By 20 years later, only two people still stayed in this industry.
Huang Wen believes that he is a person who is not very talented, and he can have his diligence. In the Beijing Furniture Factory, he often encounters difficulties. When he encounters difficulties, Huang Wen will go through the relevant information, observe the master's engraving works, carefully study and analyze the works of some predecessors, think diligently, and try constantly. Kung Fu is worthy of care, and slowly, Huang Wen finally realized the trick that belongs to himself.
One year later, Huang Wen began to learn the expression of sculpting characters, carved dragon and phoenix, etc. Huang Wen said that, such as the face of carving faces, it is necessary to repeatedly practice "knocking on the head" and "open face", which is a very tempered thing. Slowly his woodcarving skills began to enter the room.
Nowadays, Huang Wen, who is not old, has a bow back, because he has low head carving all year round, and his cervical spine has long been deformed. At the same time, the dust produced during carving will also inhale the lungs. These accumulated occupational diseases have already been accumulated. With him for many years.
"I repair the Forbidden City Furniture in Beijing"
What made Huang Wen's carving has changed hugely in the past few years he repaired furniture for the Forbidden City. At first, Huang Wen has always been in contact with mahogany furniture. After studying in the furniture factory for seven or eight years, Huang Wen mastered a good one. Carving technology has been able to participate in mahogany furniture maintenance with the master.
For the first time, he saw the furniture of the Forbidden City's circle, wardrobe, bed and other furniture that made Huang Wen very excited. He carefully figured out these furniture, and he also learned more about the patterns in it.
"It really takes at least ten years of skills to go to the Forbidden City to repair furniture alone." Huang Wen said that in the woodcarving industry, there is no specific standard to judge the master of the master. People need three years, some people need five years, and talented people will of course be faster.
The experience of repairing furniture in the Forbidden City also made Huang Wen see Jin Si Nanmu.
The Forbidden City is one of the oldest and most complete wooden structures in the world. The wood used in such a large -scale building complex is also quite amazing. There are as many as 72 precious golden nanmu pillars in the Taihe Hall. According to incomplete statistics, there are about 35,000 tall wood pillars used in major halls of the Forbidden City, which can be called a miracle of the world's wooden buildings.
Jin Si Nanmu is not only the best in architecture and home materials, but also provides a broad imagination space for ancient literati. When I first came into contact with Jin Si Nanmu, it was Huang Wen who repaired furniture for the Forbidden City with the master, that is, from then on, Huang Wen deeply fell in love with Jinshi Nanmu. Can be exposed to wood.
Later, he got a small piece of golden silk nanmu, which made him very excited. He began to try to carve and create on this small piece of nanmu, and achieved success and was recognized by everyone. Since then, he has become fascinated by the unique carving art of shabon.
Later, Huang Wen was learned that whether it was the Forbidden City of Beijing or the Nanjing Palace Museum, the material of the pillar of the two major Forbidden City -Jin Si Nanmu, all from Yibin, Sichuan. At the same time, it was also born to return to his hometown to find the story of the golden silk nanmu story. Promote and inherit the Yibin Nanmu Culture
In 2011, after working in Beijing for ten years, he resolutely abandoned Beijing's workshop and opened the road to returning home. He wanted to go back to his hometown, rush to Yibin, to discover Yibin's Nanmu culture, and to restart his Nanmu career here.
Before returning home, Huang Wen had contacted Yibin's furniture factory owner who also liked Nanmu through his wood carving circle.
After coming to Yibin, Huang Wen either produced and processed in the factory every day or went out to search for Nanmu. "Nanmu is a cultural relic, which cannot be cut off, and only collects everywhere. In rural areas, many farmers have very good quality nanmu, but they don’t understand, so they are idle." Soon, Huang Wen became an expert in Nanmu. By observing the appearance of various Nanmu, he could judge the quality of the nanmu.
When he first started to make Nanmu, Huang Wen almost spent almost all his savings in the family went to the old house in the rural house to search for Nanmu. However, Huang Wen's family supported his career very much, and also gave him great confidence and support to help him persist. In 2016, Huang Wen, who was just in his early 30s, was rated as the senior Chinese master of the Chinese Cultural Promotion Association's wooden work committee.
From knowing Kim Simanu to falling in love with Jin Si Nanmu, Huang Wen feels that the world cannot be hidden in the city. He set up his own Nanjiu woodcarving studio. This year, Huang Wen's Nanmu Culture Club was determined to be Yibin For him, for him, this aspect can better excavate Nanmu culture and make more boutiques; on the other hand, you can better spread Yibin Nanmu culture.
New Sanjiang Weekly: Why should it spread and promote Nanmu culture?
Huang Wen: Since the Qin and Han dynasties, Kim Siman has always pinned the infinite imagination of the literati and scattered the fragrance of traditional culture. Some information shows that the golden silk nanmu used by the Forbidden City is derived from Yibin, indicating that Yibin has a different historical and culture in this regard, hoping to be carried forward and inherited.

It is a professional value orientation and behavior of practitioners. I think the spirit of craftsmanship is the spirit of creative spirit and the quality of excellence.
