"Danxia Jiaming Moon, Huaxing comes out of the clouds." Danxia landform refers to the red landform characteristics characterized by steep cliff slopes. The Shudou and Qidong ditch in Sichuan belong to Danxia.

Some scholars vividly call this Danxia landform "red circle", which is the Danxia around the cliff. As for its cause, the tourist geological expert Li Zhongdong described in the article "China Geography": The intermittent fracture block of the Yunnan -Guizhou Plateau and its northern parts of the northern part of the mountain has led to the formation of staircases in the vertical direction. All fall into water or waterfalls. The flowing water will erode on the rock layer during the flow. The relatively soft mud rocks are gradually eroded, and the hard sandstone still exists. Different rocky leads to the difference in flowing water, and inner concave caves are formed on the cliff wall. As the flowing water continues to erode the cliff wall, the cave and the cliff gallery along the bottom of the cliff wall collapse, causing the gaps to continuously broaden and back, forming a ring -shaped gap.

On this basis, the traceability erosion of the flowing water makes the rock wall uniformly retreat with flowing water as the center. Coupled with the flowing and polishing of flowing water, it gradually forms a Danxia.

In the area at the junction of Matabian Yi Autonomous County and Pingshan County of Yibin City, there are dozens of such ring -shaped Danxia. On the watershed on the south side of the middle of the Central Capital River, the mountains, the south side of the south side of the corner -shaped mountain spine, and the south side of the east to west, 12 ring -shaped large rock walls are continuously developed, arranged in shape, several kilometers.

According to records, the distribution of Danxia in the cliff includes at least the southern edge of the Sichuan Basin, west to Malaysia, Muchuan, Pingshan, and south to Xuyong, Guyu, and even Chishui and Xi Shui in Guizhou. Hejiang and Chongqing Jiangjin, the east, stopped in Laoshan, Laojiang.
