The reporter learned from the Shanghai Emergency Administration that after the fire broke out at about 4 am on June 18th at the ethylene glycol device area of Shanghai Petrochemical and Chemical Engineering, relevant Shanghai and district departments immediately launched the emergency plan and organized rescue forces to rush to the scene for rescue.Up to now, on -site disposal is undergoing orderly, and the storage of the pipelines are underwritten and are under protection and the safety risks are controllable.The accident caused 1 person to die and 1 person was injured.The monitoring data of the city and district ecological and environmental departments showed that the air quality has basically returned to normal; on -site sewage and rainwater pipelines have been closed, and no water body pollution is found in the surrounding river channels.At present, the Municipal Emergency Administration has set up an accident investigation team with relevant departments to conduct investigations in accordance with laws and regulations. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
