In recent years, some places in Inner Mongolia have become rich and beautiful. The huge changes in the ecological environment have benefited from the grassland ecological protection subsidy and award policy launched in major grassland pastoral areas in the main plants and pastoral areas in Inner Mongolia and other places in 2011. In some places, the number of livestock is reduced according to the requirements of grass and livestock balance requirements, and corresponding subsidies to herders are equivalent to allowing the grassland to "pay a paid vacation". So far, the total policy funds have reached 45.5 billion yuan, and more than 1.4 million households and more than 4.9 million pastoral people have benefited from it each year.
While the grassland ecological protection subsidy and reward policy, while improving the ecological environment, it also changes the production method of herders. People no longer raise more, but pursue essence, and improve economic benefits steadily.
With the support of this policy, the ecological, production, and life of Inner Mongolia's pastoral areas have continued to improve a virtuous circle, and green industries based on leisure tourism are "budding" and development on the grasslands.
For more than ten years, with the promotion of grassland ecological protection subsidy and award policies, the development of grassland ecology, herdsmen, and animal husbandry in the region has continued to improve. Prairie self -renewal repair capabilities have been significantly improved, and biodiversity is becoming increasingly richer. The latest monitoring data show that in 2020, the average cover of grassland vegetation in the autonomous region reached 45%, an increase of 8 percentage points from 2010.
