On August 23, 2022, the feasibility study report of the Chengdu to Meishan Line Project of the Municipal (Suburban) Railway was approved by the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, marking that the Chengmei Line Project will enter the stage of comprehensive construction.

The main line of Chengmei Line is connected to the direct management area of ​​Tianfu New District and Meishan City of Chengdu City. The urban area starts at Honglian Station, transferred to Line 16 and Line 19, and ends at Meishan East Station. The line mainly follows Jiazhou Road-Yizhou Avenue-Tianfu Avenue Meishan Section-Wenzhong Street, which is walking northeast to southwest.

The city (suburban) railway Chengdu to Meishan Line engineering line is about 59 kilometers in length, of which about 19 kilometers in length and about 40 kilometers in the range of Meishan; the design speed is 160km/h; Station, Xinglonghu West Station, Jiancha Station, Cultural and Cultural Creative City Station, Xuangao Station, Nanyutu Park Station, Ledigan Station, Heilongtan Station, Yidong New District Station, Meishan North Station, Music Plaza Station, Meishan Shandong Station, Among them, there are 8 elevated stations and 5 underground stations. There are 1 vehicle base of Gaowan Village; 1 Meishan North Parking Lot, 2 main substations, and 1 control center.

The Chengdu -Meishan Line Project of the Municipal (Suburban) Railway is an important traffic infrastructure that connects into the metropolitan area network. It is the main channel of Meishan and Chengdu. After completion, it will effectively shorten the time and space distance from Chengdu to Meishan, promote the efficient gathering of industries, population and various production factors between the two places, and strengthen the role of Chengdu's central city. The construction of the Shuangcheng Economic Circle and the development of Chengde Emerald and the development of urbanization are of great significance.
