After the fire in the ethylene glycol device area of Shanghai Petrochemical and Chemical Engineering, after the fire occurred at around 4 am on June 18, the relevant municipal and district departments immediately launched an emergency plan and organized rescue forces to rush to the scene for rescue.Up to now, on -site disposal is undergoing orderly, and the storage of the pipelines are being protected by protective combustion, and the safety risks are controlled.The accident caused 1 person to die and 1 minor injury.The monitoring data of the city and district ecological and environmental departments showed that the air quality has basically returned to normal; on -site sewage and rainwater pipelines have been closed, and no water body pollution is found in the surrounding river channels.
At present, the Municipal Emergency Administration has set up an accident investigation team with relevant departments to conduct investigations in accordance with laws and regulations. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
