In order to maintain a safe, healthy, and green platform ecological environment and protect the legitimate rights and interests of users, WeChat continued to crack down on various illegal acts.

In order to regulate the information release of the WeChat personal account, the WeChat team recently strengthened the crackdown on the release of illegal products and imitation of information on WeChat personal accounts.

1. Release and disseminate the special cleanup of marketing information of illegal products

Using the Internet to sell illegal products (such as aphrodisiacs) or use the Internet to sell specific products (such as electronic cigarettes) in violation of regulations, it violates relevant laws and regulations. The relevant rules agreements such as Tencent WeChat Software License and Service Agreement and WeChat Personal Account Use Code also clearly stipulate that WeChat users must not use WeChat to publish illegal information.

From January to June 2022, we passed the user complaint evidence and verified that a total of 8,790 WeChat personal accounts released the marketing information of "illegal and illegal products" marketing information.

WeChat personal accounts must not be published, displayed, and disseminate various "illegal prohibited products" marketing information, including but not limited to the following examples:

2. Release and spread the special cleanup of the marketing information of imitation products

Using WeChat personal accounts to publish and spread imitations such as counterfeit product information, in accordance with the relevant rules such as the Tencent WeChat Software License and Service Agreement and WeChat Personal Account Use Specifications, it belongs to infringement of intellectual property rights of others and is not allowed by WeChat.

From January 1st to June 1st, 2022, for some users to publish imitation information information with the circle of friends, after being effectively identified by the brand and reviewed by WeChat, WeChat adopted 26,000 illegal WeChat personal accounts to delete or block imitations counterfeit. Product information, warnings, restrictions, or prohibiting the use of friends' circle functions, title and other processing measures.
