Since 2021, the Ministry of Public Security has been deployed in the pilot work of "cross -provincial generalization" for the first application of resident ID cards in the Beijing -Tianjin -Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Fujian, Jiangxiang, Sichuan -Chongqing and Guizhou and other regions.
