The water conservancy commission of the Water Conservancy Museum issued a scheduling order on the 16th to dispatch the Three Gorges Reservoir to replenish the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River from 12:00 on the day. Preliminary estimates that the Three Gorges Reservoir will increase their leaks, and will replenish about 500 million cubic meters of water in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in the next 5 days.

Chen Guiya, deputy chief engineer of the Yangtze River Commission, said that after the scheduling order is executed, the water level of the Three Gorges Reservoir will be evenly disappeared from the current 147.2 meters, and it will be controlled by not less than 146 meters on August 21. During the water replenishment of the Three Gorges Reservoir to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the lower reaches of the Jinsha River also carried out hydration scheduling at the same time, which can increase water replenishment by about 300 million cubic meters.

Affected by the continuous high temperature and rainy weather, some provinces in the Yangtze River Basin have recently experienced different degrees of drought. From August 1st to 15th, the Yangtze River Commission coordinated the demand for drought -resistant water and high -temperature power supply, and dispatching the controlling reservoir group in the basin to replenish about 5.3 billion cubic meters in the middle and lower reaches. The low water level in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River was alleviated.

According to the prediction of hydrological meteorology, in the next week, except for the western part of the Yangtze River and the Hanjiang River, there are light rain or medium rain, there is no obvious rainfall process in the remaining areas of the Yangtze River Basin. Continuous development, the drought defense situation of the Yangtze River Basin is severe.
