The Jialing River was born in the mountains in Qinling, and went south to Sichuan all the way to the south, showing its windy graceful figure and the temperament of Jiuqu Hui on the vast Bashu land. Finally The tributary eventually ran into the Yangtze River with a turbulent trend.

The land of Sichuan and Chongfeng has been divided into Bashu since ancient times. In a sense, it is derived from the Jialing River. Since ancient times, the northwest of the Sichuan Basin is Shu, and the area east of the Jialing River is the area on the south side of Daba Mountain. The development of Sichuan is from the Hanzhong and Longnan of Shaanxi to the Sichuan Basin, and then two roads.

Among them, along the northern edge of the basin, the Chengdu Plain is developed west. During the Qin Dynasty, the water conservancy development of Du County, Dujiangyan, and the cultural relics of the ancient Shu Kingdom unearthed from Samsung Dou were proof. The other road is from Jianmen Pass (Jiange) along Jialing River to the southeast, passing through the country, and then through the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, straight down the Qutang Gorge, connecting Chu and Xiang.

It can be said that the Jialing River is the ancient political center of China -Guanzhong Plain. It goes south and passes through Hanzhong and Longnan, and then passes through the water of Jialing River to go straight to Chu Xiang's best and most economical path.

Regarding the source of the Jialing River, the most common point of view in the past is the second source theory, that is, Dongyuan and Xiyuan said. Dongyuan is due to Feng County, Shaanxi Province, and Xiyuan out of Qinzhou District, Tianshui City, Gansu Province. After the two sources were converged in the Baishui River, the south stream passed through Yangping into the city of Guangyuan, Sichuan Province. At this point, the upstream of the Jialing River was completed.

From Guangyuan Zhaohua to the Hechuan River section of Chongqing as the middle reaches of the Jialing River, this Dajiang River in the natural state, a roundabout of snake row in the hills in northeast Sichuan, formed a rosewood channel of more than 600 kilometers to thousands of times. Chongqing is closely linked, so since ancient times, it has important shipping significance.
