At the press conference of the National New Office held on the same day, Fu Linghui, spokesman for the National Bureau of Statistics, said that the employment situation has been improved since May, and the national urban survey unemployment rate has continued to fall, and it has fallen to 5.4%in July. Among them, the employment of the employment subject is 4.3%, which is close to the same period last year, indicating that the basic employment is stable.

It is worth noting that the survey rate of population in 16-24 continues to rise, reaching 19.9%in July, an increase of 0.6 percentage points from June.

Fu Linghui said that in July, the number of young people entering the employment market increased, pushing up the unemployment rate. At the same time, enterprises have been impacted by the epidemic, difficulty in production and operation, and the ability to absorb employment decline, especially for young people with more employment in the third industry, which has slowed down, affecting the employment of young people. In addition, the current young people tend to be relatively stable, and the job tendency and the reality are relatively large.

For the employment situation in the next stage, Fu Linghui believes that with the gradual recovery of the economy and the implementation of the employment policy, the employment situation will gradually improve, but the employment pressure is still great.
