The origin of "Yanbian Elderly Festival"

In the early 1950s, Yanbian set up a "elderly reading newspaper group" group of public groups based on rural villages. By the 1980s, Zhao Nan, then the secretary of the state party committee and governor, took a survey of Yanji County (now Longjing City) Dongsheng Yong Township (now Dongshengyong Town), and proposed to change the "elderly reading newspaper group" to "elderly people" Suggestions of the Association of Human Association.

On August 15, 1982, Dongshengyong Township, Yanji County took the opportunity to settle on the Liberation Day in the northeast, and held the first conference of China's first "Elderly Association". In order to inherit the folk day of the Korean Korean ethnic group, the people's government of Dongsheng Yongxiang decided to be the "Elderly Festival" of Dongsheng Yongxiang on August 15. In 1983, the Yanji County Party Committee and the County Government officially decided to set August 15 as the "Old and Centers" in the county. With the support of the then county party secretary Li Dexuan and the acting county chief Li Zezhong, the "Yanji County Elderly Festival" celebration conference was in the East East. Shengyong Township was grandly held. Since then, for the first time in my country, there is the concept of "Elderly Festival" and "Senior Association".

On July 19, 1984, Li Dexun, then the secretary of the state party committee and governor, presided over the expansion meeting of the Standing Committee of the State Party Committee and decided to approve the annual solar calendar August 15 as the "Yanbian Elderly Festival". According to the decision of the state party committee and the state government, on August 7, 1984, the "Senate Congress of the first Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture Elderly" was grandly held at the Yanbian Art Theater, and it was determined that August 15 was the "Yanbian Elderly Festival". The traditional festival of Yanbian people- "Yanbian Elderly Festival" was officially born.
