Recently, Jiuquan Meteorological Bureau and the Dunhuang Research Institute cooperated to provide fine weather forecast for the protection of cultural relics in 6 cave temples in the province under the jurisdiction of the Dunhuang Research Institute.

The meteorological service targets the protection of the cultural relics of 6 caves in the province of Mogao Grottoes, Maijishan Grottoes, Bingling Temple Grottoes, West Thousand Buddha Caves, Yulin Grottoes, and Beidou Temple in the province, and further strengthen the meteorological service of disaster weather forecasting early warning.At the same time, the long -term mechanism of meteorological services for daily protection and preventive protection of cultural relics will be established, relying on Dunhuang Research Institute to build the province's grotto cultural relics protection meteorological service platform and monitoring and early warning center to enhance the capacity for the protection of cultural relics protection of grottoes.(Source: New Gansu)
