On August 13, Tang Xichun, the person in charge of the Flood and Drought Resistance Office of the Provincial Emergency Management Department, told reporters that at present, the province's living water and crop water in the irrigation area are guaranteed.

The drought is divided into four categories, currently mainly meteorological drought and hydrological drought

"Drought feelings are generally divided into meteorological drought, hydrological drought, agricultural drought, drinking water, etc." Tang Xichun said that now, the drought in our province is mainly two types: meteorological drought and hydrological drought.

Hydrological drought refers to the phenomenon that the riverside runoff is lower than its normal value or the water level of the water level. Its main characteristic is the shortage of water volume that can be used in a specific area and periodic period of the river runoff.

Meteorological drought refers to the continuous abnormal drying weather leads to water dehydration, which causes severe hydrological imbalance. The most obvious manifestation is that the amount of rainfall continues to be lower than a normal value.

In the past month, the province's cumulative average rainfall has been 52%less than the same period for many years. The rainfall in 52 counties and cities in the province has been less than 60%of the same period of the same period. Some counties and cities have no effective rainfall for a month.

Water storage in advance, the people's lives and irrigation districts are guaranteed

"This year, the province's early rainfall was quite rich, and the water conservancy projects were scientifically stored scientifically. Therefore, the people in the province's living water and crop water for the irrigation district were guaranteed." Tang Xichun said.

Give full play to the role of irrigation areas and water supply projects to ensure the demand for the lives of the masses and the water production of agricultural production. At present, various types of water conservancy projects in the province have a total of 35.294 billion cubic meters, 2.3%more than the same period over the years; Changsha, Zhuzhou, Yiyang, and Luzhou have relatively many water storage capacity; Tang storage was 24.37 billion cubic meters, 4.92 billion cubic meters, 2.94 billion cubic meters, and 3.07 billion cubic meters.

At present, the province's various irrigation areas supply can supply 11.438 billion cubic meters. Among them, large and medium -sized irrigation areas can keep irrigation for about 25 days, and small farmland irrigation projects can keep irrigation for about 15 days. Rural residents in the province are basically guaranteed, and the number of days of water supply in rural areas of more than a thousand people can supply days by about 15 days.

Tang Xichun introduced that high temperature and rain and sunny weather will continue, and the drought will develop further. We must do a good job of manually raining, emergency water delivery, and saving water, ensuring that the production and life of the masses will not be affected, and the food is stable and harvested.
