On the same day, the Chimelong Wildlife World invited parent -child families to observe elephants at close range to raise awareness of public protection of wild animals and plants. Friends of all ages have become "Elephant Experience Officers" to visit the daily cleaning, physical examination, and hoof repair of elephants, and call on people to pay attention to the survival status and habitat protection of elephant population.

The survival environmental changes and poaching behaviors caused by climate change have severely threatened the survival of the elephant. Data show that the types of elephants worldwide have been from more than 400 years ago, and there are only 3 types of Asian elephants, African grassland phenomena, and African forests. In China, wild Asian elephants are mainly distributed in the three versions of Xishuangna, Pu'er and Lincang in Yunnan.

In order to make the living environment of Asian elephants more comfortable, the nursery specially laid a thick "mattress" on the ground floor of the "Elephant Fang". In summer, in order to provide a better environment for the Asian elephant of "beauty", the caregiver also prepared the yellow mud water "bathtub" to allow the elephant to moisturize the skin at any time. There are also elephant play facilities such as sand baths and single wooden bridges in the park.

At present, the world's existing Asian elephants and African elephants are identified as endangered species by the World Nature Protection Alliance (IUCN). Over the years, Chimelong has been committed to the protection and breeding of rare animals. From the initial introduction of 14 Asian elephants to 29 heads today, the third generation has been reproduced. This is also China's largest Asian elephant breeding base.
